Wholesale Purchasing

We invite businesses to support local sustainable agriculture by buying product through the FarmBoat network. Restaurants, delis, cafeterias and neighborhood markets can benefit by having goods shipped in by boat.

Food providers across the water (who would otherwise need to ship through a distributor by truck) could now deliver directly to you by boat--lessening traffic congestion and encouraging use of the maritime waterways.

If your organization is located near a port along our routes, consider purchasing small shipments from farms and producers who were previously too far away to deal direct. Farmboat will help you make the connection with many local suppliers across the waters of Puget Sound.

Local Food & Craft Producers - Trading Partner Sellers receive a listing on the FarmBoat web site so that visitors to the FarmBoat floating markets can easily learn about your products. In addition to the listing, we will send out a reporter to conduct an in-depth interview and produce an editorial story about your business--complete with photos.

Restaurants & Markets - Trading Partner Commercial Buyers receive a listing in our newsletter and web site to let consumers know where to buy local goods delivered by sea.

Your membership helps fund our communications efforts. The FarmBoat idea is gaining momentum in the press. The unique combination of local foods and maritime heritage is peaking the interest of the public.

Our first year membership fee is $500. We can accept partial trade in fresh produce, packaged foods and crafts as well as gift certificates and vouchers that we can use in FarmBoat promotions.
