Wine-Steamed Manilla Clams
    Recipes for Locally Grown Foods

Ingredients:

Local manila clams - 1 or 2 lbs

bunch of parsley

1 onion quartered

Shiitake mushrooms

white wine

1 Lemon

garlic

salt & pepper

Instructions:

Rinse 1-2 lbs of clams in fresh water. In a large stockpot add just enough white wine to cover the clams, one quartered onion, a handful of parsley. Cover and cook for about 10 minutes or until you see that all the clams have opened. Discard any unopened clams. Serve with bread. Salt and pepper as needed.
